results and Junior Youth Training for Under 16 Players
08/09 Following the try out session at the Football Club on Wednesday we need to act quickly. The Men and Ladies will continue to train at Leominster on Wednesday evenings subject to pitch availability. Time to be confirmed. There are three choices for the girls and boys: 1 Train at Leominster from 6.45-8.00pm on Wednesday evenings as last year. 2 Attempt to negotiate a weekly date at Ludlow Football Club for boys and girls for a similar time, probably not Wednesdays as that is a popular football night. 3 Abandon club based training and send keen youngsters to Local Academy and Development Centres (LAC AND LDC) at Shrewsbury or Telford which will be followed up for stronger players with county squad training. This will provide high quality coaching, both are initially open to all players, some dates are Sundays, some dates are at half term in October and some dates are on Thursdays; but there is not a regular pattern of dates. Cost would be similar to previous Ludlow HC costs but players need to register and pay up front. Details will become available shortly through schools and clubs. Thanks NOTICE OF AGM This year's AGM will be held at Craven Arms Community Centre on Thursday 24th April 2008 at 7.30pm. AGM Agenda 2008 AGM Minutes 2007 Triumph for Ludlow Juniors Congratulations to the Under 11 and Under 13 Boys, and Under 11 Girls who won the Shropshire Mini Championships. They will represent Shropshire in the Midlands Finals on Sunday April 27th at Cannock Hockey Club. This is a remarkable achievement, especially as South Shropshire is the only District in the county without at least one full sized astro-turf pitch. It reflects the dedication of players, parents and coaches who have to travel for coaching, training and to play home matches to Bridgnorth, Telford or Leominster. LEVEL 1 coaching COURSE The next Level 1 Coaching course will be held at The Wrekin College on Thursday 19th, Sunday 22nd and Sunday 29th June 2008. The course will be run over 2.5 days. Day 1 is an induction session and classroom based for 4hrs. The other 2 are full days. If you would like to attend, please ask Roger for more details. NEW LADIES TEAM MANAGEMENT SYSTEM The ladies are trialling a new online team management system called TeamSnap. There’s a link under the Ladies 1st XI heading on the left.
