Ludlow secured a win at home with a 3-0 win over Shrewsbury 4XI.
A quick start to the scoring tally as 6 minutes in a strike from Kim Dobson deflected off one of the opposition which was picked up by Rachel Jones who then placed the ball into the back of the goal.
Much like last weeks game the ladies kept the pressure on with many chances on goal but some great saves from the Shrewsbury goalkeeper denied them any further goals in the first half.
A well drilled Shrewsbury came back fighting in the second half and had a few chances on goal themselves but to no avail with strong defending from Karen Hadley, Charlotte Allsop, Isabelle Price, Miley Aston & goalkeeper Chloe Jones.
Despite injuries sending Julie Chamberlain & then Rachel Jones off, the ladies finally made the most of their possession with a through ball from Hadley to Dobson, across to Sidonie Allsop and into the oppositions D for Captain Naomi Burgoyne to reverse stick hit, which flew off the keepers stick and into the top of the net.
The ladies were on a high and 2 minutes later a skilful run up the pitch and a reversed ball towards the goal from Elizabeth Crew enabled Ceri Thomas to deflect the ball into the back of the goal.
Player of the match was Miley Aston.
