An away game for the ladies this week and it was a dominant and attacking performance, securing a 3–0 win in a game where the ball rarely entered Ludlow’s defensive half.
The first goal came in the 26th minute when Rachel Jones finished off a superb passing move from Kim Dobson to Harriet Price, back to Dobson and across to Jones, who calmly slotted it home.
Just two minutes later, Dobson doubled the lead after Co Captain Karen Hadley made a driving run from Ludlow’s 25 up the pitch to the back line, hitting the ball into the D where it rebounded off Harbornes defender, and Dobson reacted quickly to fire it in.
The final goal came in the 55th minute when Vick Roberts passed smartly across the top of the D to Dobson, who struck cleanly into the goal to seal the victory.
It was an excellent all-round display, with strong teamwork, high pressing, and great composure on the ball.
Vick Roberts was named Player of the Match for her excellent positioning and relentless fight for possession throughout the game.
